Big failure last night as my money plays let me down and no sign of dushku…but none to worry, for i see fairly good situations for today…as i mentioned yesterday, i attended the Nats game again w/ Dodger Fan, and we got a great glimpse of what the hitters actually face during a game…but luckily for the Nats it wasnt much, as Hendrickson donked his way through 4.1 innings, mixing his fastball in w/ his meatball, allowing 5 gift-wrapped runs…but the Dodgers simply went though the motions and got thumped by a mediocre team at best…
today, the hot ticket is naturally the Yankees and the Red Sox in their 1st of 3, as Wang will square off against Wakefield @ Fenway…the Red Sox were the team that initiated the Yankees’ current woes, and look to add to their 10 game lead in the East, and 13.5 game lead over the Yanks…no play here, just hard-nosed, best-of-whats-around baseball…
the 2 plays i’m looking at right now are LA Dodgers (Wolf) ML -160 @ Pittsburgh (Duke), and Arizona (Webb) @ NY Mets (Maine) ML -140…i mentioned the Dodgers and there seeming lack of existence last night, but that should be adjusted rapidly w/ Wolf on the hill…he has pitched extremely well of late, while Duke has struggled and the Pirates have struggled at home…
the 2nd play would be the Mets (Maine) ML -140 vs. Arizona (Webb)…Webb is as good as they come in this league and is a healthy underdog tonight…this leads me to believe that the Mets bats are back and are ready to handle a high-calibre pitcher…the odds generally wouldnt be this high, that is, when facing a stud like Webb, and therefore should be a strong play on the Mets…
